Can Food Really Help Your Sinuses?

Most people don’t pay even a little bit of mind to their sinuses until something
starts to go wrong with them. Clogged sinuses can be incredibly painful and help
make an currently miserable flu even harder to deal with. Most of us try to cure
our sinus issues with steam or drugs but the truth is that what we take in can
also have an effect on these tiny passageways in our faces. So how do you keep
the sinuses healthy with foods? Keep reading to find out which foods truly do or
do not help the sinuses in your faces feel better.

When your sinuses are having troubles you should stay clear of milk and other
kinds of dairy products. Dairy fuels your body’s production of phlegm and
mucous. This material will make its way into your sinus passageways and keep
them from draining properly as well as cause major blockages. These sorts of
blockages may breed different types of microorganisms whose only goals will be
to keep you sick. This is also the reason dairy products should be avoided when
you experience a chest cold the phlegm builds up in your throat making your cough
worse than it has to be.

Some folks are convinced that sinus troubles can be helped with the assistance
of some horseradish, wasabi and other spices. While this can undoubtedly help
thin out the mucous in your sinuses, it’s also likely to give you a seriously
runny nose and other, temporary, relief. If you suffer from other troubles just
like heartburn or acid reflux, spicy foods aren’t going to help you–in fact,
they could make the problem worse because, sometimes, the regurgitated acid will
be able to work its way up from your throat and into your sinuses and could
cause some seriously bad problems for you.

If you are affected by sinus problems you should probably not drink any alcohol.
Alcohol will cause dehydration and dehydration can result in the solidifying or
even hardening of the mucous inside you, including in your sinuses. This causes
your sinuses to be blocked and pretty much undrainable so, while alcohol may be
able to help you sleep, it could also be prolonging your illness. Tea, however,
could be enormously helpful. A mug of hot tea, while putting off the vapor that
can help bust up sinus clogs, also has other healing properties that will help
cure the illness, though it depends on what kind of tea you choose to drink.

Don’t take in or drink caffeine. You could be tempted to consume coffee instead
of tea or even plain hot water. You shouldn’t try this. Caffeine, just like
alcohol, dehydrates your system and makes it harder for you to stop your sinus
issues and the illness that is contributing to them.

Everybody’s physique reacts in a different way to things so be sure to check
with your doctor before taking any advice in this article. What is effective for
your close friend may not work for you so, if your sinus troubles are extended
you need to talk to your doctor.

Anorexia Tips for Parents

Anorexia Tips for Parents most people,

have at least read about anorexia even if they have never personally
observed it up close and personal. In fact, I have a distant relative whose
daughter been through anorexia during her high school years. It is a difficult
problem for every person involved. You see, an anorexic person fights a
distressed battle to have a feeling of acceptance. It is a continuous battle in
the thoughts of the anorexic person. This article will talk about some
successful approaches to help your anorexic daughter in this area relating to
acceptance.

Amy at 12

The family home environment is so important, and that is where you can control
and improve general views of acceptance for all. Naturally your daughter has her
own choices about things, and you can give her direct help about them so she
feels more confident about them. If you stop and think about it, there are many
resourceful methods to approach this. For example, talk with her about the stuff
she likes, and try to help draw the conversation out about those things. Be very
sure that you do not express your true feelings to her should some of her ideas
and likes be something you disagree with. She needs to sense she is recognised
by you when she does express what is in her thoughts.

Make some kind of strategy for recreation involving her and/or the complete
family. Whatever they are, just be sure she and every person enjoys the time and
it is stress-free. You need to merely provide some mental help from
concentrating on anorexia so much. Plus it is a very good idea for her to see
more of her immediate surroundings that make-up the world. Attempt to shift her
focus from what’s going on inside her to the splendor of the world. Furthermore,
encourage her to tell you, and the rest of the household, how she thinks and
feels about what she sees and what you are all doing together.

It is clear that sitting down to eat can be a time of stress for the family.
Believe it or not, but there are tremendous rewards to be gained when the family
eats dinner in concert each day. This can have a positive impact on the young
children and will actually help them as they come to be teens. Avoid letting any
sort of looming silence overcome the dinner table. You want to avoid any
negative energy from happening. Ask your kids how school was and whatever else
to have a enjoyable conversation. There is nothing at all wrong with having a
good laugh during the evening meal.

Avoid being viewed that you are afraid to talk about
anorexia tips for parents or anything that
is related to it. But it is up to you to decide when there is too much focus and
likely obsessing about it. Naturally this is major life condition for her, so it
matters very much that you show her you care and prepared to face it with her.
So when you do speak about
anorexia tips for parents, merely treat it like it is something that can be
effectively dealt with. You wish to generate an atmosphere of optimism and hope,
and then instill that in her.

Is your child at risk of developing an eating disorder?

Anorexia Tips for Parents Therapists normally

assure parents that nobody is to blame for a child’s eating
disorder and that the causes of anorexia, bulimia and binge eating are not fully
known. But scientists have been able to identify the exact risk factors for
developing these conditions.

It was found that there is a strong connection between children avoiding
conflict and how they manage their behaviors and their eating disorders.

Eating disorder sufferers tend to have family members who struggle with
depression, alcohol dependency, drug abuse, anxiety, perfectionism, obsessive
thoughts and compulsive behaviors, or are real goal orientated people with a
fixation on succeeding at all costs. It is important for these families where
these issues are present to be aware that their children are at risk of
developing an eating disorder than children from other families. These kids
should avoid dieting at all and should not be nagged to lose weight, as dieting
can trigger any genetic predisposition towards an eating disorder.

Children who diet often are far more likely than non-dieters to develop an
eating disorder. When dieting is started it is easy for vulnerable children to
become fixated on counting calories and weighting-in all the time. Anorexia and

bulimia
are followed by obsessive attention to calories, fat content and weight.

What can family and parents do to help keep their child healthy? The most
important things are to encourage frank and honest communication with your
child, and create a value system in your family that has your child value their
mind, personality and spirit rather than body image
.

Being healthy yourself is also extremely important as it sets the best example
and a role model for your child. If they take their role models from fashion
magazines or TV soap operas where all the people are just perfect, then these
susceptible kids are in real trouble.

What other
anorexia tips for parents can be suitable for parents whose children could be at
risk of developing eating disorders?

First it is make sure you understand and educate your child about normal healthy
physical changes that happen during puberty. Some kids especially girls can take
change and weight gain which is just normal biological change as a sign they are
getting fat, so they start excessive dieting, that leads to a eating disorder.

Second is to help your children develop healthy eating habits: exposure to a
good variety of food choices, encourage your child to be involvement in making
menus for family, avoiding using food as punishment, reward or for comfort.

Third, always give to your child good feedback and focus your attention and
praise on their strengths and achievements.

Forth, discourage dieting and focus on healthy eating. Help your child cope with
the media’s barrage of mixed messages.

And of course always when it is appropriate get help from other people who have
the correct knowledge about eating disorders and this is not necessary doctors
or the medical fraternity. You only have to look at the readmission statistics
over 70% to see that there is a huge problem in that area.

The signs to watch for are: obsessive behavior around food, lying about what
they are eating or don’t have time to eat. They also if have difficulty
concentrating, suffer heart palpitations, or feeling continually cold and shaky
even when it is not really cold.

Anorexia Tips for Parents How To Express To An Anorexic Child Plus Coping Strategies

Most people have at least read about anorexia even if they have never privately
observed it up close and personal. There are so many cases of it, that it is
safe to state you are almost certainly not far removed from an anorexic. It is a
challenging circumstance for anyone who is close to it. You see, an anorexic
human being fights a distressed battle to have a sensing of acceptance. This is
a personal battle that each anorexic must wage in their lifetime. This article
will focus on some useful approaches to help your anorexic daughter in this area
relating to acceptance.

There is much
anorexia tips for parents you can do at home to directly effect everyone’s feeling that they
are recognized their in the home. Then think of ways you can help enhance
feelings of confidence about her thoughts and ideas. There are very various
ideas to tackle this one, and they all have an impression. For example, talk
with her about the things she likes, and try to help draw the dialogue out about
those things. Be very sure that you do not express your true emotions to her
should some of her ideas and likes be something you differ with. The first
important steps are to help her to feel confident about expressing her thoughts.

If you do not normally have family activities, then it is a good time to start
doing them. Whatever they are, just be positive she and everyone enjoys the time
and it is stress-free. You want to merely provide some mental comfort from
paying attention on anorexia so much. You need to widen her activities of life
and all the things that are out there in the world. You want to alter her focus
from her interior thoughts all the time to want to know what is taking place out
there in the world. It is beneficial to get her to open up concerning her inner
feelings about the new details she is seeing with your activities.

Dr Irina conducting her
eating disorder seminar in Florida

Obviously mealtime can be a source of anxiety for everyone and especially for
your daughter. Likewise, it is extremely critical that your entire family group
eats together. Study has shown that families who assemble for meals and eat as
one generally have healthier outlooks. You can assist matters by keeping the
dinner talk light and pleasurable. You want to avoid any bad energy from
happening. So, keep the conversation going, and talk to her and everybody else
concerning their day. Attempt to inject some humor, if at all, by recounting
something that happened that is amusing.

But you do want to be willing to talk about
anorexia tips for parents with your daughter due to
the fact it is something that should never be kept in the dark. But it is up to
you to determine when there is too much focus and potential obsessing about it.
But you do not desire her to think that you are just seeking to avoid talking
about something that is obviously important. So keep the talk totally neutral
and discuss it. Just be sure to hold things positive and forward looking -
optimistic.

Anorexia Tips for Parents Home Treatment for Eating Disorders

As a doctor I have worked with many women struggling with eating disorders. I
also a former suffer of anorexia and bulimia myself (this was a main reason why
I decided to learn everything I can about these conditions and help other people
to recover from it).

I believe that most eating disorders are learned behavior. It can therefore be
unlearned. By behavior I mean not only actions but thought process and attitudes
as well. As with many behavioral problems, early detection often speeds up the
recovery.

Those who admit their eating problem in the early stage and are frightened that
they might continue – often are able to change their destructive eating habits
with relative ease.

Many of the sufferers I see have already had years of individual psychotherapy.
Often their therapists have focused on deep-seated underlying causes, which did
not help the women with the here and now. Some sufferers have continued to feel
bizarre and alone, even though they were told that their behavior was not
uncommon. And there are some who never admitted to their secret eating behavior.

Some therapists favor group therapy but I have found that group therapy are good
and helpful until only the certain stage of recovery – the stage of admitting
that “Yes, I do have a problem and I do need help.” Than, to continue with
treatment people should come to group therapy again and again. And here is what
happens – they all become friends and get close to each other and understand
each other. But to continue with the group you have be a member of it , to say
another words you have to stay the same. Other ways if you recover you have to
leave, but it is difficult for most of them and they prefer just stay the same.

While it is generally true that women in the early stages of eating disorder
recover faster, two factors seem far more relevant. The first involves the level
of commitment to change. Second, but of equal importance, are the strategies she
employs to overcome eating disorder. What can she do in the face of anxiety?

What can she substitute for binge eating? If the woman can call upon more
productive strategies to cope with the stresses of daily life, she is on her way
to recovery. The commitment to initiate and maintain personal growth through
alternative behaviors is therefore crucial.

The best treatment strategy, in my opinion, is when a person has a special
recovery program to follow at home. But this is important to be very persistent
and consistent with this kind of program so the role of therapist is actually to
make sure that the patient is doing it every day and everything is clear
regarding the program.

The best program I recommend my patients is made by Karen Phillips (the lady who
treated her daughter from terrible anorexia and bulimia by herself). She wrote a
book about the method “Mom Please Help.”
www.mom-please-help.com

It is very interesting method with
anorexia tips for parents which helped many people to recover.

Slimirex

Slimirex A Good Review

Slimirex
image

Based on the established website, Slimirex is a weight loss accelerant in health supplement form. The home web page says that the health supplement is the most thoroughly reviewed product on the weight loss market. There are many good reviews for this product–both on the actual web page and off of it–but we decided to take a more objective look at it. After all: you can find dozens of diet drugs and weight loss products on the market and they all promise to be the be all end all “it” supplement in the diet and weight loss field. Here is an objective look at this item and if it can help you.

Slimirex is usually advertised by Global Healing Center Inc. In addition to earning money using its supplements, the corporation bases itself upon natural health and positive living.

The Global Healing Center
, Inc was put together by the present-day CEO: Dr. Edward Group III. Dr. Group spent more than two decades learning natural health before developing the Global Healing Center in 1998. The company’s principal supplement is Slimirex and they’re advertising and marketing it all over the internet.

Slimirex includes these contents: ChromeMate, Bioperine, Forslean, Gugulipid, 7-Keto, Advantra Z, Super Citrimax, Slimaluma and Lipofuzion. All of the elements have been previously patented for fat reduction. They’re all constructed from natural substances. We like that the product comprises ingredients that are patented for weight reduction but we’d like to see more information on whether or not the product has been approved by the FDA..

Global Healing Center
image

The major promises of this item are that it helps to lower your appetite and increase your metabolism. Some customers have reported feeling increased amounts of energy. While these are fantastic things if you are looking to diet and cut down on your calorie intake every day, they aren’t the only answer to healthy weight loss. We couldn’t find any substantial information about whether or not you would actually lose any pounds or what you could expect from the supplement during the first month of use. There is, however, a ninety day guarantee so it seems as if if you don’t lose any weight at all, you can ask for your money back.

The price of the product is the largest gripe we now have over it. A solitary container costs just about eighty dollars. One container, according to the pictures on the site, holds about 120 pills. The advised dose is two to three dietary supplements everyday at meal time. This means that you will work through that bottle in forty to sixty days. This signifies that, if you use it the way you should, you could wind up spending $480-$720 a year on it. That’s an awful lot of cash to spend on a weight loss supplement-especially one which may not help you in the way that you hope it will.

In the end, the most effective individual to ask about Slimirex is a medical professional. Your doctor may decide that

Slimirex
is a great health supplement for you and that it must help you with a lot of things while you work to shed weight. It’s also feasible that, determined by your medical history, Slimirex might be a bad idea. Ask a family doctor for expert advice about whether or not it is right for you..

Getting the Perfect Brow Lift

Gravity becomes more powerful as you get older. As the years progress, you’ll notice that some of your features and body parts start to sag. You’ll be most aware of the changes that take place on your face. And who can blame you? This is what people see first when you walk in a room. Right now, you just want to look your best so you can carry yourself with more confidence. A slight adjustment could actually make a world of difference. The first thing you need to do right now is go see a cosmetic surgeon. Before making any rash decisions, you must make sure you go to a skilled and reputable practitioner. It is your prerogative to ask as many questions as you want. If you’re not satisfied with the answers, you have every right to seek help elsewhere.

As you speak to the surgeon, you may want to ask about getting a brow lift. This can be the solution you’ve always wanted because the relatively simple procedure could take years off your face simply by raising your eyelids and forehead. The incision is made on your hairline, and as soon as the scars heal, you’ll see that the wrinkles and fine lines have disappeared. That’s because your doctor stretches your skin before he makes the suture.

You just have to take note of a few important issues before you even say yes to a brow lift. First of all, is this something you really want to do? Are you ready for the responsibility that will rest on your shoulders? Are you financially capable of covering the entire fee? As for the latter question, several doctors have decided to offer package deals just to make the procedure more affordable to men and women everywhere. Don’t feel ashamed about your decision because if you know you’ll feel better in the end, you know that every cent you’ve paid is worth it.

Moreover, you can talk to people who have undergone the procedure themselves. You need to get yourself familiarized with their experiences so you won’t have unrealistic expectations. Then, check out your surgeon. If you’re going to a legitimate expert, then you should see his or her name on the American Society for Plastic Surgeons. If you don’t see their names listed, then you need to go and find another expert. As for experience, look for one who has had more than enough successful surgeries. You can also talk to your doctor if you have concerns that need to be addressed.

Talk about the procedure in detail. You can even ask about the anesthesia they’ll be administering. Just realize this: you’re not going to wake up looking like a brand new person. Your goal here is to look natural no matter what. It is also recommended that you quit smoking or drinking because these two habits are what add more years to your looks. If you’re making this big of an investment, then you may as well make sure to take care of your body better than before.

Fast weight loss | weight loss Tips to Lose 10 Pounds by Planning and Executing

Fast weight loss | weight loss Tips to Eat right in order
to lose 10 pounds

Fast weight
loss | weight loss Tips to Eat right in order to lose 10 pounds

Losing weight is not only about how many calories you burn, but what it is
exactly that you are eating. Many people have complained about not losing weight
when they are working out. It is most often due to the fact that they are not
eating properly. Without the proper diet losing weight is an uphill battle. It
will do you no good to exercise everyday, and then eat cheeseburgers and
milkshakes. You will be canceling all of your efforts in the gym if you are not
eating correctly.

The intake of the appropriate foods plays a larger role in weight loss than most
people realize. Therefore you need to plan your diet well. Also you will want to
eat a variety of foods to keep yourself from becoming bored with your new diet.
Eating appropriately will also give you the energy that you need to workout
effectively.

You should plan to eat small meals every 2-3 hours throughout the day. Some
people will eat 4 times per day and some will eat 5-6 times per day. How many
times per day that you eat is up to you, but it is proven that multiple small
meals spread out throughout the day is more effective for weight loss than the
old standard of 3 meals per day.

Eating right during the holidays is tough for many of us. There are a lot of
very good foods rich in sugar, excess fat, and carbohydrates. It is essentially
part of almost every holiday to eat, drink, and be merry. This causes us to over
indulge in a lot of foods that are not good for us. We have a tendency to eat
even when we are not hungry. The habits that we develop over the holiday season
are hard to shed once the holidays are over. This is why the period between
Thanksgiving and New Years is so tough on someone trying to lose weight. It is
also the reason why right after New Years so many of us struggle to get the
weight off. If you develop good eating habits before the holidays and use
determination, focus, and persistence you can avoid bad eating habits and
picking up excess weight.

Following good eating practices can help you to continue eating right. Be
consistent in your food consumption. Eat at the same times daily. This will help
your body adapt to a routine, and help you to control your hunger. Eat in a nice
setting, and don’t eat while doing something else. Focus your attention on what
you are eating. Learn to eat for energy and not so much for taste. You can
actually retrain your taste buds in a matter of weeks so that your body will
become accustomed to not eating foods high in fats, sugars, and salts.

Fast weight loss | weight loss Tips to Lose 10 Pounds by Getting Up Early

For a lot of people losing 10 pounds can make all the difference in the world.
Weight gain is a slow and steady process that surprises most people. The weight
is added here and there over a period of time and one day we wake up to find
that we are 10 pounds overweight. Many of us can lose the weight by simply
adding some exercise to our daily routine. The problem is where to find the time
to fit it into our busy lives. We need a quick, easy, and effective solution.

Anytime we want something we have to give up something else. In the case of
squeezing in the exercise we need one option is to give up sleeping late. If you
simply wake up 1 hour early each morning you can get in a quick workout before
you start the rest of your day. By doing this you do not interrupt your normal
routine. Losing 1 hour of sleep is well worth the sacrifice. Exercising in the
morning also has the added benefit of being the optimum time to burn excess fat
from the body.

Our bodies use the stored carbohydrates from the meals that we eat as fuel or a
source of energy. Since we are waking from a fast first thing in the morning we
do not have any carbohydrates to burn. Exercising in the morning then forces our
bodies to burn the stored fat. Studies have indicated that by exercising first
thing in the morning our bodies will potentially burn up to 250% more fat than
if we did the same exercises at any other time during the day. One important
caveat to exercising in the morning is that you have to exercise on an empty
stomach.

Fast weight loss | weight loss Tips to Lose 10 Pounds by Planning and Executing

People have many reasons for wanting to lose weight. By reducing your weight you
will feel better and look better as well. Losing weight has the added benefit of
helping you to gain more self confidence. One of the best ways to start your
weight reduction program is to set a goal to lose 10 pounds. The success of
achieving your goal ultimately depends on the effectiveness and execution of
your plan.
Each person is very different. People differ in their lifestyle choices, work,
behavior, and attitudes. These factors should be taken into account when
developing your plan to lose 10 pounds. Keep in mind also that the success of
the plan is also related to how realistic the plan is for you to achieve. Be
sure to think about your daily routine, your lifestyle, and what you are willing
to give up in order to accomplish your goal.

You plan should include both diet and exercise changes to increase your chances
for success. Develop a daily meal plan and exercise plan. It has been proven
that if you plan you are more likely to succeed.
Maintaining a proper diet during your weight loss plan will require some self
discipline. The first thing that you will want to do is prepare a meal plan.
Then go to the grocery store and buy everything you will need to prepare your
meals. Prepare as many quick snacks as possible so that you will have them on
hand if you need a quick bite to eat. Preparing healthy snacks in advance will
help keep you from eating junk. Prepare as many of your meals in advance as
possible. Refrigerate and freeze where appropriate. Space your scheduled eating
times at least 2-3 hours apart.

Design an exercise plan that is suited to your particular personality and
lifestyle. Some people have very little time throughout the day to workout. So
for those people a 10-15 minute workout twice a day may be exactly what they
need. And trust me there are 10-15 minute workouts that can give you a great
benefit if done correctly. If you have a little more time you may want to
workout for 30 – 60 minutes per day. You can accomplish this by working out
early in the morning, on your lunch break, or right after work. Whatever you
plan just be consistent. Daily physical exertion is a must if you are planning
to lose weight and keep it off.

Fast weight loss | weight loss Tips to Lose 10 Pounds by Jogging
Most of us have experienced at one time or another observing our weight creeping
steadily up over time. This slow steady weight gain is the result of indulgences
from the past in the form of vacations, holiday events, and unconscious eating
on a daily basis. Quickly before many of us realize it that one or two pounds
that we are gaining each month turns into 10 pounds or more overweight.

There are a lot of methods that you can lose to try and take off an additional
10 pounds of weight or body fat. Some methods work really well, and some only
marginally, and some not at all. It is also understood that the effort is often
proportional to the success. There are a lot of methods that people tend to take
up to lose this unbearable fat on their body. Some methods work, some don’t.
Possibly, the affect of a work out or a diet on some one’s body is directly
proportional to the efforts one puts in while doing so.

Jogging is one method of exercising that can aid in helping you to lose weight.
Jogging is a good way to burn calories if you like running. Jogging gives you
the opportunity to get out of the gym and experience fresh air and nature. A
morning run is a good way to start your day and get your blood flowing. Jogging
gives you an opportunity for mediation and quiet reflection that you might not
get when at the gym surrounded by lots of other people who are working out. You
can jog just about anywhere. Many cruise ships now come with jogging tracks
built on at least one deck so that people who like to jog don’t have to
interrupt their regular routine while on vacation. You can jog at work during
your lunch break or in the late evenings.

The other good thing about jogging is that it is an exercise that doesn’t
require spending a lot of money. About the most you need to spend money on is a
good pair of running shoes, a t-shirt, shorts, and good socks. Most people
already possess all of these items. The one exception is probably a good pair of
running shoes. A good pair of running shoes is essential for not only protecting
your feet, but they help to protect you legs, back, and spine too. So do your
self a favor a splurge on a really good pair of running shoes if jogging will be
a significant part of your exercise routine.

Fast weight loss |
weight loss Tips to Stick to a Routine and Lose 10 Pounds

Most people take many steps to try and lose weight. There are many factors in a
person’s life that will hinder their weight loss efforts. Stress, bad eating
habits, and low self confidence all contribute to hindering weight loss. If you
can follow a good diet and exercise plan and combine that will persistence and
consistency then you should have a much better chance of losing 10 pounds or
more.

The most common reason for failure in losing weight is that many people fail to
stick to the diet or exercise plan for a reasonable amount of time. They fail to
give the diet and exercise a chance to work. Many want to see results instantly,
and fail to realize, that like weight gain, weight loss is not linear. You must
have realistic expectations as well. Weighing yourself everyday and hoping for a
reduction in weight daily is unrealistic. The body simply doesn’t work that way.
Some days you will lose weight, some days you will not, and some days you will
even gain weight according to the scale. But if you are consistent, and track
your weight loss daily you will see a pattern of continuous weight loss over
time. Again I stress “over time” you will see a downward trend in the graph of
your weight loss, but a daily snapshot may not show this. So give your weight
loss plan time to work by sticking to it for a period of at least 1-3 months.

Before making any plans to diet and workout it is a good idea to check with your
doctor first to ensure that your plan will be ok for you. It is important that
you are healthy enough to embark on the specific plan that you have chosen to
execute. Exercise plays a vital role in achieving weight loss. You should give a
lot of thought to your exercise plan. You will want to try and exercise
consistently at the same time everyday to make it a part of your normal routine.
While exercising routinely at the same time every day is a good idea it is not a
good idea to do the exact same thing every time you workout. It is important
that you vary your workouts every time. The human body is very good at adapting
to new situations. You body will quickly adapt to your exercise routine if it
becomes to predictable, and you will have trouble losing weight. So to counter
this keep the body guessing by constantly making slight changes to the type and
intensity of your exercises.

Diet is another important factor that determines your success with losing
weight. Make it easy on yourself to achieve your goals by setting yourself up
for success. Plan your meals, prepare meals in advance, and buy healthy foods
for your house. Another thing that you can do is to plan what your going to eat
before you go to a restaurant. In the age of the internet most restaurants have
their menus online. Go online and have a look at the menu before hand and find
menu items that fit in with your plan. Also ask your server to have the chef
prepare your meal to your required specifications.

Fat Loss Revealed | Body Building Revealed

My Review of "Brink’s Body Building e-book"

Until you learn to eat right, take the right
supplements, ignore the bad ones, know exactly how to train etc, you will
have a very hard time building lean muscle.

I am constantly reading and learning about the best
ways to build lean muscle mass. Education is probably one of the best things
you can do to help yourself get the edge when working out in the gym. That
is why I buy tons of books and training guides, and it’s why you should too
if you are serious about fitness.

While doing my normal internet searches for the latest
muscle building news, I came across an interesting e-book (basically a book
that your can read on your computer). The ebook was called "Body Building
Revealed" and was written by a man by the name of Will Brink. I had heard of
Will before in the muscle building industry and I knew he was a straight
shooting, "tell it like it is" kind of guy.

In fact, Will is a sports nutrition and
supplementation expert, not some lazy slob sitting in his basement writing
"muscle building" guides. Some of Will’s clients include famous athletes and
even SWAT team and Navy Seal special operation teams! When Will talks about
building muscle, I listen. Plain and simple.

Needless to say, I was on the edge of my seat while
reading this guide. The "lean muscle building diet" plan that is spelled out
step by step was worth the price of the book by itself. This is the same
plan used by professional athletes throughout the world. The only difference
is, you don’t have to pay thousands of dollars for this plan like the
athletes do.

In the second part of the book, Will talks about
bodybuilding supplements. I have to admit, I was completely shocked at what
he revealed. Thanks to Will, I will save thousands of dollars this year by
not wasting money on supplements that flat out don’t work. (Will does
explain which ones DO WORK, so that is something you won’t want to miss, in
the book are over 50 fully referenced body building supplement reviews, it’s
pretty amazing to be honest)

The third part of the e-book looks at weight training,
he has a chapter designed for beginners to intermediates then as if that was
not enough a huge addition from master trainer Charles Poliquin for the more
advanced trainee.

To be honest it would take me pages to do justice to
this e-book, there are over 640 pages in it, he goes to to explain in
further chapters about the correct way to do cardio to retain lean muscle
mass, then there’s a huge chapter on motivation and goal setting, honestly
this thing is like a body building bible.

Last time I checked, Will was offering a special on
his web site. He was giving away free memberships to his "Inner Ring", which
is basically free support and consulting with Will and a bunch of other
great freebies. If he is still offering this bonus, then you should signup
right away before he stops giving it away.

I can’t recommend Will Brink’s "Body Building
Revealed"e- book highly enough.

Will Brink’s "Body Building Revealed"
is in my opinion
the the most complete, comprehensive and easy to understand information
published to date on "how to achieve lean muscle gains". (It has even been
described by bodybuilding legend Lee Labrada as a "must read").

The author, Will Brink, is a genuine sports nutrition
and supplementation expert, with all the credentials to prove it – not just
another of the many "self acclaimed experts" that seem to appear everywhere
on the Internet these days. (This fact in itself makes Body Building
Revealed worthy of further investigation!)

The fact is that anyone who’s been working out for any
length of time knows that your efforts in the gym will largely go un
rewarded if you don’t eat and train correctly.

In fact many experts say that if you’re trying to
build lean muscle as much as 80% of your end results are down to correct
nutrition and rest – NOT training. This being true it simply makes no sense
at all to go to the gym without learning how to eat correctly.

…And Will’s information is quite simply the very
best out there in my opinion to help you achieve this – for two simple
reasons:

1) It’s all scientifically proven – Will is a leading
researcher and consultant.

2) His information is proven in real world results -
Will’s clients as a trainer include an impressive list of top name athletes
as well as SWAT and Navy Seal special operation teams.

In the first section of Body Building Revealed you’ll
learn just about all you need to know about eating to build lean muscle
fast. It’s brilliantly written, extremely easy to understand and takes you
step by step through what would otherwise be the daunting task of putting
together your own personal "lean muscle building diet" – you’ll be shown how
to do it in the exact same way that professional athletes do.

In the following chapters, Will explains in depth how
to train , which supplements to use and which to avoid, how to do your
cardio to retain lean mass, whilst still losing body fat, and pretty much
everything else you could ever need to know to gain muscle.

Besides the written information you get access to an
amazing resource which Will call’s his "Inner Ring" in which you basically
get free consultancy with Will, along with an incredible array of diet
planning tools, unique articles from other leading industry experts and much
more. It really is awesome stuff, and you’ll not find such an immense amount
of muscle gain knowledge and information in one place anywhere else of that
I’m sure!

I can safely say this is the most complete guide to
building muscle I have ever seen, the only downside if there is one is it’s
size , this thing is 630 pages long, it’s a monster, but then again it has a
great index and table of contents and you can just click to the section your
interested in.

I can’t recommend it enough.

Fat Loss Revealed

How much money have you wasted on false promises made by weight loss
and diet supplement companies? I’ve spent so much money, it’s
embarrassing to talk about.

You’ve seen all the infomercial’s on late night TV showing how
their "magic" pill will melt away fat in no time. Well guess what?
Almost all of the supplements you come across in the media are
scams!

So, how do you know which (of the few) supplements ACTUALLY WORK?
Well, there is a man named Will Brink who is one of the top sports
supplement experts in the United States. People such as world famous
athletes, Hollywood stars, the SWAT team, and even the Navy Seal
special operations teams rely on Will’s advice to keep them in tip
top shape.

That’s all fine and great, but these people have thousands of
dollars to pay Will for his advice. Chances are, you don’t have
those kinds of resources available for "nutritional advice".

The reason I am even bringing this up is, I just found a guide
called "Fat Loss Revealed" that was written by Will Brink. The
moment I saw this guide was available, I snatched it up as fast as I
could pull the credit card out of my wallet!

I have to tell you, this is "THE GUIDE" you must have if you are
interested in reducing your body fat. It has completely unbiased
reviews of over 40 + of the best selling fat loss supplements,
explains exactly which are any good and which are just plain hype.

I was surprised at how the media uses it’s marketing hype to make
worthless products look so good. After reading Will’s book, I wonder
how some of these so called weight loss supplement companies can
sleep at night!

The Fat Loss Revealed e-book is split into 4 main chapters, one
covers all the supplement information you could ever need, including
a supplement scoreboard with an "at a glance" view of what works and
what doesn’t. He also has a private forum you gain access to with
Fat Loss Revealed which has over 300 brand name supplement reviews.

The second chapter is an in depth fat loss diet, that he has
passed on to high paying clients who need to really get in shape. He
gives you his basic but effective fat loss diet but also explains
all the advanced fat loss techniques such as carb cycling, re
feeding, and such like, if it’s not in this e-book, then you don’t
need it, I’ve never seen such an in depth look at all the advanced
dieting techniques on offer, he really knows his stuff.

Then there’s a chapter on resistance training, he has workouts
for beginners right up to very advanced trainees. The e-book even
has free weight workouts for people who can’t get to a gym, it all
includes photographs and you can even watch videos of the exercises
in his members area which you get free access to when you purchase
Fat Loss Revealed.

Then there’s more interesting information on motivation, and how
to really stick to your program, which is so important for long term
success. Advanced cardio techniques for really stripping off
resistant fat are also included in the cardio chapter.

There is so much invaluable knowledge in this manual, I can’t
really do it justice here. You will have to check it out for
yourself to truly understand how impressive this program is.

Will was having a special a couple days ago where he was giving
away 12 months access to his Fat Loss Revealed members area, it’s
amazing. A huge private online area, where you can get one on one
support from the author and from personal trainers .

They also have pre-made diets you can download which match the
Fat Loss Revealed diet program, they have a really good Diet planner
as well which lets you keep track of all your food, make recipes,
even see a graphical presentation of your progress.

Quite simply there is way to much for me to explain here, but
it’s really quite something special in comparison to the usual
rubbish out there, I can’t honestly understand why it’s so
affordable, it’s more of a complete fat loss system than just an
e-book, it’s outstanding value, I’ve already picked up so much
valuable information from the members area.

Anyway, if you feel it’s time to lose your body fat once and for
all, reading "Fat Loss Revealed" is the best possible way to get it
done. Click here to learn more about "Diet Supplements Revealed".

Weight Loss Tips
| 2 Cool Ways to Overcome Teenage Obesity!

If you take a closer look at your obese neighbors, that is, if you have watched
them grow from children into teenagers and finally adults, you would find that
many of them didn’t become obese adults overnight. Most probably they were
eating junk and processed foods since their childhood.

Those habits followed them when they grew into the puberty stage. Today, as
adults, they would probably like to kick off their bad habits and lose weight,
but since they have never followed healthy eating habits as children, they now
find it difficult to adopt them!

As you can understand, if we can put a rein on childhood obesity and teenage
obesity, much of the present day’s obesity problem could be solved! A lot of it
depends on parents. They should the ones teaching their kids the benefits of
healthy eating and healthy living.

They should be the ones to teach their kids how harmful it would be for their
health if they become fat. I have actually found that when it comes to kids or
teenagers, the fear of social disgrace usually influences them much more than
the fear of diseases.

You see, it is no secret that:

a) Kids are very sensitive by nature and don’t take offences kindly

b) Almost in all societies, fat kids are abused and taunted at by their peers

Therefore, inculcate the fear of imminent social disgrace in your kids, and see
if they don’t follow healthy eating habits! This is a psychological trick which
almost always works for teens, and to some extent, over-sensitive kids too;
however, it won’t probably work for adults!

The genetic factor is there to consider as well. If a teen’s parents are obese,
he would have to fight harder than usual to keep himself from getting
overweight. Studies point out that a teenager can, if he wants to, keep himself
healthy and fit even if his parents are not healthy. However, if a teen doesn’t
follow a healthy lifestyle during his adolescence, he would find it difficult to
keep the weight away in his adulthood!

While working out in the gym is an obvious option, teenagers shouldn’t be doing
workouts which are too strenuous, as they can injure themselves badly. From my
experience, I can recommend two good activities that would help your teenage
child keep obesity away without harming him in any way:

1) Outdoor sports: Right after finishing their academic activities, teens should
engage themselves in some form of outdoor sports. Afternoon is usually the best
time for playing sports such as cricket, football, basketball, tennis, etc. Make
sure that you do not force your kid to play any particular sport! Almost all
kids are interested in one of these sports, and since all of them are good for
weight loss, it doesn’t matter which sport he picks up for himself!

2) Swimming and dancing: Many kids take interest in these activities. They are
good choices since they keep your kids healthy, both physically and mentally.
Yoga is yet another good choice.

Weight Loss Tips | 3 Reasons Behind Teenage Weight Gain

Teenage obesity is harder to control than childhood obesity. This is because
children are more receptive to advice and suggestions than teens. Also, you
cannot chide a teenager in the same way as a pre-teen. As we grow into
adolescence, we grow physically as well as mentally. We become much more
sensitive and stubborn than before. We think of ourselves as more intelligent
than our parents. As you can see, handling a teenage kid is a real pain in the
butt.

Now, why teenagers gain weight? Teenagers gain weight because:

1) They hardly know the difference between healthy and unhealthy foods since
they were taught about it during their childhood. If they were eating junk and
fatty foods as little kids, the same unhealthy eating habit follows them into
their adolescence and they start eating them in larger quantities!

Parents often ask their kids to buy junk foods from outside instead of taking
the time or trouble to cook healthy meals at home. If your child never tastes
healthy and organic foods, he would naturally hate them in the latter years of
his life!

Plus, if your child lives in school hostel, things could get only worse. These
days, schools prefer to buy junk foods from outside since it is the cheaper
option to cooking meals in-house. Also, the exercise classes they have are
pretty basic. They would only work for a certain period, after which your kid
would be left on his own.

As you can see, there is just no way your teen kid can have a choice to eat
healthy foods!

2) They are much more tempted to try out restaurant foods than their pre-teen
counterparts. You see, almost all teenagers today have their pockets full of
cash. There are usually two sources of this cash: either their parents offer
them pocket money or they make money by dong part time jobs. So, when they have
money to spend, they usually spend it on junk foods because they are tasty and
yummy.

A lot of their food habits are also influenced by their peers at school and
college. I still remember how every time my friend had soft drinks at the
college canteen, I would inevitably buy one for myself, even though I had no
intention of buying it when I ventured out of home!

3) They hardly exercise. Again, their parents have got a big role to play here.
If a kid is not taught the benefits of exercises, or if parents allow them to
watch video games for hours instead of encouraging them to participate in
outdoor sports, the situation could only get worse as they grow into
adolescence.

There are indeed very few schools which make outdoors sports and other such
activities a mandatory part of their curriculum. As such, our present school
system is also to be blamed for teenage obesity.

It would have been good if the present American lifestyle and education system
could be completely revolutionized; however, I don’t see it happening within the
next few years. Hence, as a parent, it is high time that you start taking
control of your kid’s health. As to what you should do to keep your teenage kid
healthy, I think that what I said above is more than enough!

Weight Loss Tips | 3 Surefire Ways to Keep Your Teens Slim and Fit!

While obesity has been there for decades, teenage obesity is more of a recent
phenomenon. The trend of teenage obesity started since the 1990′s with more and
more teenagers giving preference to junk foods and video games over healthy
eating and exercises.

Today, the situation has reached the levels of an epidemic, with almost nine
million teens, most of them under the age of 15, being obese. If we don’t put a
stop to this trend right now, the number of obese teens would increase by at
least 40% within the next decade! So how could we prevent teenage obesity?

When it comes to kids’ health, parents have a key role to play. They can, if
they want, teach healthy or unhealthy lifestyle habits. A child’s mind, being
influential, would easily emulate the lifestyle of the parents, whether or not
they are healthy.

One of the habits I inherited from my father is that of eating a can of soda
just before bedtime. This is one habit I haven’t been able to get rid of in
spite of several attempts. It is as though it has formed a part of my flesh and
blood. This is why it is so important to teach healthy eating habits to your
kids right from the start!

1. Be good to yourself: If you are following unhealthy eating habits, you are
not only harming yourself but also your kids! You can never force your kids to
follow a healthy lifestyle if you don’t follow it yourself. So it is high time
that you get rid of your junk food eating habits and focus on eating organic
foods instead.

It is time that you stop buying processed fruit juices and start making the
fruit juice at home by extracting it from organic fruits. It is time that you
get rid of your ‘couch-sitting’ habit and take a walk or run outside.

This is the least you could do to keep yourself healthy! Plus, when you follow
healthy habits, your kids would imitate you automatically!

2. Cook meals at home: Health starts at home. Instead of eating at fast food
restaurants, start cooking meals at home. With home-cooked meals, you can
control the ingredients which go into cooking. For example, when you are baking
cookies at home, you can, if you want, use margarine instead of butter.
Likewise, when you cook vegetables at home, you can cook them with low-fat oil.

Similarly, when you cook chicken at home, you can cut off its fatty part and
keep only the meat; additionally, you can slice the chicken in two halves, so
that you eat one half today and keep the other half for tomorrow.

In short, with home cooked meals, you could exercise lot of flexibility and
control over what goes into your mouth. In contrast, with restaurant foods, you
have no option but to eat whatever you are served. Even if you order only
‘low-calorie’ foods, they would harm you as well! Think about it: you know how
much calorie you need per day, but the restaurant doesn’t!

3. Monitor your teen’s health. Even after following all the above steps, if your
teen kid still struggles with weight loss, you should immediately put him on a
healthy diet plan, as well as some diet pills too! If in doubt, you may want to
consult with your doctor about it!

Weight Loss Tips | 5 Ways Parents Can Prevent Teenage Obesity!

Obesity has always been there, especially among people belonging to the upper
middle class and of course, the rich people too! More often than not, obesity is
the result of overeating and unhealthy eating. It is no wonder that obesity
usually thrives in families which are financially well off; these families can
afford to eat expensive junk foods and junk foods are what primarily make a
person overweight.

In recent times however, it is noticed that obesity is not just limited to
adults! As more and more children fall into the trap of obesity, one wonders
whether it is taking the form of an epidemic.

How do children become obese? Well, usually they gain weight as a result of
following poor eating habits. But who teaches those poor eating habits to them?
As we know, a child’s mind is like a blank, white paper and whatever you write
on it would become his future. In other words, a child’s mind is very
influential; he cannot differentiate between good and bad and consequently,
takes whatever is taught to him as gospel truth.

Parents have a big role to play in the health of their children. No matter how
much they deny it, they are primarily responsible for teenage obesity. Have you
ever noticed that obese kids usually have obese parents? It is not just a
coincidence! It might be true that the child has inherited obesity from his
parents, but it is equally true that the kid became obese because of following
the poor eating habits of his parents.

The kid’s parents have probably become obese because of poor, unhealthy eating
habits and leading a sedentary lifestyle; so it is likely they would pass on
their bad habits to their kids since they don’t know any better!

So rather than trying to make your teenage kids lose weight when it is too late,
it is better to teach healthy eating habits to them right from an early stage so
that they never gain weight in the first place. Here are some ways you can do
it:

1. First of all, you need to change your poor eating habits. By following an
unhealthy lifestyle, you are not only harming yourself but also your kids. Since
kids take their parents as role models, they would follow your eating habits and
become obese just like you!

2. Second, it is time to put your parental love on the backburner and become
stricter with regards to your kid’s food habits. Children naturally love to eat
sweets, candies, cakes, cookies, etc. No matter how much you feed them with
healthy foods, they would still pester you for these items.

However, these foods are high on calorie and would make your kids fat. Many
parents like to condone the poor eating habits of their kids out of parental
love, but in my opinion, such parental love is misdirected for it makes kids
obese. It is time you start admonishing your kids for eating junk foods.
Remember, your kids’ health is at stake!

3. Thirdly, you should stock your home with organic fruits and vegetables and
cook them regularly for yourself and your kids. Far too many parents, either out
of laziness or lack of time, don’t cook meals at home; instead, they ask their
kids to eat junk foods from outside. If you really believe that your family’s
health is your first priority, you would need to cook meals regularly.

Unlike junk and fatty foods, organic foods are rich in vitamins, protein, fats,
zinc, calcium, etc., as well as low on calorie. More importantly, they are rich
in fiber, which would help keep your kids full for a long time. Remember that
when kids are not hungry, they are less likely to gorge on junk foods!

4. Fourth, it is time that you not only stop buying junk foods but also throw
away your existing stock of junk foods from your kitchen and refrigerator. Kids
are more likely to eat chips and cookies if they are easily available at home.

5. Lastly, encourage your kids to become more active in life, and of course, you
should do the same too! Instead of watching video games, PSP or TV, they should
go outside and play sports such as basketball, tennis, cricket, etc. These
sports would help them burn fat and stay fit. Additionally, if your kids are
interested in swimming, dancing, etc., they would be encouraged to indulge in
them as well!

Obesity is bad enough, but keep in mind that if you are proactive about it, it
is never too late to begin! Also keep in mind that preventing weight gain is
much better than struggling to lose weight!

Weight Loss Tips | 5 Ways Teenage Obesity Harms Your Child!

Not too long ago, America was looked upon as the country of ‘obese population’.
Today, this is no longer true! As western influences, particularly western
lifestyle habits, continue to make headway into the rest of the world very
swiftly, obesity is slowly becoming a worldwide problem. As waistlines continue
to become wider and buttocks larger in size, we wonder whether obesity is soon
going to turn into an epidemic worldwide!

Fortunately, unlike several other harmful diseases, obesity is preventable as
well as curable. In my opinion though, prevention is better than cure. An obese
teenager not only suffers physically but also mentally. In fact, when it comes
to teens, obesity begets obesity.

When obese teens are ridiculed at by their peers, they become depressed.
Consequently, they try to find solace and comfort in junk foods and eat more and
more of them. This in turn worsens their health. This is why it is a good to
prevent weight gain by monitoring the health of your teenage kids right from an
early stage.

In any case, it is never too late to begin, so let’s get started! First, let me
tell you how obesity could harm a teen:

1. Obese teenagers often suffer from depression for the reasons I mentioned
above. They also suffer from low-self esteem, inferiority complex and
irritability.

2. Just like their adult counterparts, obese teens also suffer from physical
diseases such as sleep apnea, coronary diseases, kidney problems, high blood
pressure, diabetes, etc. Additionally, recent studies point that that obese
teens are more likely to die prematurely than teens of normal body weight!

3. Obesity can affect your child’s education and career in a big way. Obese
teens are more likely to have their education and job applications rejected.
They are less likely to get a cushy job as most companies consider the health of
a prospect in a big way before employing him!

4. Obese teens are more likely to have marital troubles than others. It is no
secret than obese people usually snore in sleep. Believe it or not, snoring is
one of the leading causes behind the growing number of broken marriages and
divorces!

5. An obese teen is very likely to live in social denial. Being used to
mistreatment of the society since his childhood, he would eventually accept it
as part of life and continue to allow others to mistreat him. As time goes by,
he would become more and more depressed and might even want to end his life when
the torture becomes too much to bear!

I am not exaggerating anything; I have seen so many obese teenagers grow and I
can say that not many of them are leading happy lives as adults. If you wish to
offer your kid a healthy, happy and long life, there are a few things you should
do.

Teens take their parents as role models and follow their lifestyle habits.
Therefore, you, as a responsible parent, can influence your kid’s lifestyle
habits by following healthy habits yourself. Kids usually get attracted to junk
foods after watching their parents enjoying them. By getting rid of your junk
food habits and switching to healthy and organic foods, you would not only
ensure a healthy and happy life for yourself but also your child!

Unless prescribed by a qualified doctor or nutritionist, a teenager shouldn’t be
given any kind of diet pill or weight loss supplement. Many of these pills and
supplements have harmful side effects which may do more harm than good to your
teen kid.

Encouraging him to indulge in performance activities is another good way to
overcome teenage obesity. These days, teenagers indulge more in video games and
the like instead of playing sports which make them sweat, such as tennis,
volleyball, baseball, etc. However you can reverse it by actively participating
in these sports. As your teenage kid sees that you are enjoying a certain sport,
he would soon emulate you and play it!

Remember that as a parent you are fully capable of influencing your kid’s
lifestyle. Use that power now to insure a healthy and positive life for your
teenage kid! Remember that it is never too late to begin!

Weight Loss Tips | Here is Why You Must Not Ignore the Growing Fat Belly of Your
Teenage Kid!

Teenage obesity is something we cannot ignore, for it is as much disastrous,
perhaps even more disastrous, than adult obesity. For one, people who have been
obese as teenagers are less likely to live a long life than those who live a
healthy life as teens. For another, unlike adults who can control obesity with
the help of diets, diet pills, and intense workouts, teenagers cannot do the
same because of the following three reasons:

a) The teenage period is the period of growth for a human being. This is the
time when our body needs more nutrition than at any other period. On the other
hand, a lot of fad diets restrict your food intake in such a way that you are
virtually cut off from eating most of the nutritious foods available. Obviously,
teenagers cannot be prescribed such diets which would negatively affect their
growth.

b) So far as diet pills are concerned, many of them come with harmful side
effects. There are pills which have side effects such as nausea, vertigo,
headache, indigestion, etc. Since teenagers tend to have weaker immune system
compared adults, these side effects would cause great damage in their bodies!

c) Intense workouts are truly intense, in that they put a lot of stress on your
body, particularly bone and muscles. As teenagers, we develop new muscles and
our bones become stronger. However, since this is a period of bodily growth, a
teenager’s body is not as strong as that of an adult. Consequently, if a
teenager performs such intense workouts, he is very likely to injure himself
seriously!

That said, all is not lost. There are several easy ways to keep your teenage kid
fit and healthy. But it all depends on you. If parents are unwilling to
cooperate, teenage obesity cannot be controlled. It is a fact that a child is
more influenced by the lifestyle habits of his parents than that of strangers.

Don’t ever think that obese parents have obese kids solely because of genetic
reasons. While genetic factors may have a key role to play regarding a person’s
body weight, they are only as much powerful as one’s destiny. If a human wants,
he can easily control his body weight just like he can master his density.

Okay so here are two tips to fight teenage obesity:

1) Weight loss experts often tout food as the biggest reason behind obesity.
However, it is not food, but rather "bad food", which causes weight gain. If a
person keeps eating burgers, pizzas, cookies, cakes, soft drinks, soda, alcohol,
processed fruit juices, etc., it is only natural that he would become overweight
in the long run.

Remember that when it comes to eating, there is no healthier substitute than
organic fruits and vegetables. Nature has plenty of healthy foods to offer us
and if we wish to stay healthy and fit, we must eat only those foods and nothing
else!

That doesn’t however mean that these natural foods need to be eaten raw. Get out
of your laziness and start cooking meals at home using low fat oil. Remember
that unless you become proactive about it, the health of your teenage kid would
only get worse over time!

2. Today’s teenagers prefer to remain glued to television and video games
instead of engaging in outdoor sports. Once again, parents have a key role to
play here. If you watch television or remain glued to your computer screen for
hours, it is natural that your kid would do the same.

Now, if you or your kid doesn’t want to workout, then don’t. But walking,
running and jogging are some of the easy activities both of you could do to keep
obesity at bay!

Weight Loss Tips | Make Your Teen Kid Lose Weight With These 3 Easy Steps!

I hate stats and figures as much as you do! But if I want to portray the
enormity of the epidemic called teenage obesity and how it is and will be
affecting the American population, I need to mention some scientific figures to
prove my point. Studies predict that:

a) If the present trend of teenage obesity continues, almost half of the
American population could become obese within the next 25 years. American
lifestyle would continue to influence the world in the same way as now and thus,
the tragedy of America could well be taken as the tragedy of the world!

b) It is also predicted that depending on their age, obese teenagers are likely
to have health issues when they grow into adulthood. For example, young teens
are almost 25% likely to have healthy-related problems in adulthood, while for
the older teenagers, this figure rises to about 80%.

c) Studies also point out that people who have been obese in their teens are
three times more likely to die prematurely than others.

There are three main causes behind teenage obesity:

1. Poor eating habits: Teenagers tend to have influential minds, and the
lifestyle they follow is often a result of several kinds of influences, domestic
and non-domestic. As far as domestic influence is concerned, a lot of it can
well be attributed to their parents. When they see their parents enjoying
burgers, chips, biscuits, cakes, pizzas, etc., they follow suit. When they
notice their parents gulping down a dozen cans of soda, why would they do drink
plain water?

Among non-domestic influences, the prominent influence is peer pressure. If
peers are enjoying fast foods, your kid would most likely join them out of fear
of being ostracized. If your kid’s classmate says that it is cool to have soft
dinks at lunch, he would most probably follow his suggestion!

Only parents can ensure that their kids follow healthy eating habits. As a first
step, they should start eating healthy foods themselves. They need to show their
kids how much they enjoy eating organic fruits and vegetables. They need to kick
off their junk food eating habits.

Believe it or not, the way you lead life influences your teenage kid’s lifestyle
habits in a big way. If you follow healthy habits, your kid would surely imitate
you.

Parents also need to make sure that their kids always have healthy foods at
their reach; this would discourage them from eating junk foods from outside. At
breakfast, you should offer your kid a decent-sized meal that would keep him
full for a long time. Such a meal should be rich in protein, vitamin, calcium,
carbohydrates and fats. You can include eggs, chicken, broccoli, tofu, soy,
whole grains, nuts, etc., as part of the breakfast!

Be sure to pack your kid’s launch box with home cooked meals and strictly
instruct him to eat only those foods at lunch and nothing else! If he doesn’t
obey you, force him to eat his lunch at home before serving the dinner. Just
like breakfast, dinner should also consist of only healthy and low-calorie
foods!

2. Low activity level: A lot of kids gain weight because they hardly move their
bodies. For fitness purposes, a body should always be kept in motion, for when a
body moves, it burns fat and calories and makes you lose weight!

So, you should discourage your kids from watching too much television and
encourage them to indulge in outdoor sports such as tennis, basketball, or
cricket instead! No matter how much they pester you, don’t buy them video games
or PSPs. Kids get addicted to video games pretty quickly and that would hinder
their active life!

3. Genetic disorders: Some kids gain weight because of hereditary reasons.
However if you thought there is no way out for your teenage kid, you couldn’t be
further from the truth! Your kid would simply need to work a lot harder than
others to keep the weight at bay!

Weight Loss Tips | The One Reason Behind Teenage Obesity, and 4 Ways to Control
It

Want to know who is responsible behind teenage obesity? It is our ‘gizmo age’!
Yep, we are so much focused on gadgets and gizmos that we are becoming lazier by
the day! We have computers and robots to perform many of our manual chores.

Consequently, we are living a sedentary lifestyle and gaining weight as a
result! Today, more children spend time watching video games and surfing the
internet than even a decade ago. As we become more and more advanced
technologically, the situation is only going to get worse in the following
years!

Today, kids would rather play video games than baseball or tennis. If they
become obese, who is to blame for it? Blame yourself before blaming your kids!
After all, as a parent, isn’t it your responsibility to look to it that your
kids follow healthy habits at all times? Wasn’t it you who, consciously or
unconsciously, taught your kids the same poor lifestyle habits that you follow?
If you keep watching television and munching on chips without a break, how could
you expect your teenage kids to do any different?

Television is actually one of our biggest enemies! Today, a bulk of TV ads
consist of attractive ads on chips, pizzas, cookies soft drinks, etc., all of
being rich in empty calories and responsible for the growing trend of obesity.
Allow your kid to watch television for too long, and see him adopt unhealthy
lifestyle habits and become overweight!

Overeating is also one of the leading causes behind obesity. Adults often eat
more than they should, and their kids follow suit!

Another reason is the poor curriculum followed by most schools these days, which
focus more on bookish education and less on physical activities and sports.
Under such circumstances, kids would naturally become obese!

So what is the solution?

The solution is to go back to our roots by following the lifestyle habits of our
forefathers. You see, there is a reason why our forefathers hardly had to deal
with the menace of obesity – unlike us, they didn’t eat junk foods, sat on the
couch the entire day, stuck their noses onto the computer or television screen,
or shunned sports like today’s kids do!

Here are some of the things that can be done to prevent teenage obesity:

1) Never put your kids on a strict diet, as that would do more harm than good!
If your kid is currently eating junk and fast foods, discourage him from doing
so and start feeding him with home-cooked meals!

2) It is also important that you, as a parent, follow the same healthy habits
you want your kids to follow. For example, if you want your kids to give
preference to home-cooked meals over junk foods, you need to do that yourself.
If you want your kids to participate in outdoor sports then you should
participate in those sports yourself! If you want your kids to stop watching
television for too long, you need to get rid of that habit as well!

Remember that a kid follows his parents’ footsteps and considers them his role
models. The way you lead life would influence the lifestyle of your kid!

3) Engage your kids in household chores such as cleaning your house, looking
after your garden, etc.

4) If the eating habits of your kid changes drastically all of a sudden, in that
he eats more junk than healthy foods, there maybe more to it than meets your
eyes! Has the kid stopped participating in the normal activities he used to take
interest in? Has he become calmer and quieter than usual?

Many kids and teenagers eat junk foods out of depression or other similar
psychological troubles. If your kid is eating because of emotional reasons, it
is time to take him to a professional psychiatrist for counseling!

I hope these measures would prove adequate to keep your kids fit and healthy.

Weight Loss Tips | The Sureshot Approach to Quick Weight Loss for Teenagers

Teenage obesity is fast becoming a ‘growing’ menace (pun intended)! One reason
behind it is that it is very difficult to handle and control the lifestyle
habits of teenagers. Teenagers always try to live life on their own terms since
they believe that they are mature enough to take all important decisions of
their lives. Still, there are a number of ways you can make sure that your
teenage kid is always fit and slim.

Have you ever taught the difference of healthy and unhealthy foods to your kids?
Have you ever taught your kids how to identity those two types of foods? Have
you ever offered him home cooked meals? Have you ever prevented him from eating
junk foods from outside, or watching television for hours?

If your answer to all these questions is "no", I regret to say that you have not
really been a good parent. But you are not the only one of a kind. Most parents
make their kids eat junk foods because they are not only a cheaper alternative
to home cooked meals but also save them time. Most parents would prefer watching
television or gossiping rather than cooking meals at home.

If a kid is not made to taste healthy foods right from the beginning, if he is
never taught to identify good and bad foods, it is only natural that he would
continue with the unhealthy habits of his childhood right into adolescence and
beyond! If one has never eaten anything except junk foods as a child, it is not
unnatural that he would develop a certain kind of distaste towards organic foods
as he grows older. These unhealthy eating habits are one of the primary reasons
behind teenage obesity.

Changing is a teenager’s eating habit is a lot more harder than changing the
food habits of a little kid. The only way you can change your kid’s eating habit
is by changing your food choices first. When you become proactive at weight loss
and fitness, your teenage kids would follow suit! What you should be eating is
something I would discuss at the end of this article.

Another reason behind obesity is the influence of television. Television not
only makes a teenager idle but also influences his mind with those attractive
ads on junk and fatty foods. As a parent, it is your responsibility to make sure
that your kids don’t watch television for a long time period.

You should encourage them to indulge in outdoor sports or at least take a walk
outside.

As a parent, you should neither allow your kids to buy junk foods nor bring them
yourself at home. When junk foods are available just right at the corner,
neither you nor your kids would be able to resist the temptation. For goodness’
sake, it is best to throw junk foods out of your home.

Your kitchen and refrigerator should be stocked only with organic foods; that
way, you can make sure the whole family eats them more often than junk foods.
Eating organic foods is one of the best ways to keep your calorie consumption
low. This, coupled with a little physical activity, would do good both to you
and your adolescent kids!

As for a diet program, you really don’t need one, but if you want to follow a
good diet, take a look at the "Strip That Fat" program. This is a new kind of
diet devoid of the stupid food restrictions of the fad diets. When you start
following it, you won’t feel like you are dieting.

With Strip That Fat program, you are not forced to eat only one or other food;
you can make your own meal plans based on your food choices. Strip That Fat
comes with a diet generator tool as well that would build customized meal plans
for you on the go!

Remember that as parents, we have the choice to teach healthy or unhealthy
lifestyle habits to our kids. However, you need to teach your kids, especially
teenagers, through action instead of mere words of wisdom. When you start losing
weight as a result of following a healthy lifestyle, your kids would do the
same. This is really a great way to fight teenage obesity!

Weight Loss Tips | Warning! Teenage Obesity Can Kill Your Child Unless You
Follow These 3 Steps!

Obesity is bad enough, but teenage obesity is worse. If kids and teenagers start
getting overweight, it only goes on to show how bad our lifestyle habits have
become and how little concern we have for our health. Today, almost fifteen per
cent of teenagers are obese, that too just in America (I am not even counting
the world figure, which would obviously be higher), and if we don’t take the
right measures to curb it, it would only get worse with time!

Now why should we be so concerned about obesity? Obesity is a cause of concern
because it not only makes a person look fat and ugly but also inflicts him with
several killer diseases such as diabetes, sleep apnea, heart problems, kidney
troubles, high blood pressure, etc.! Just imagine your teen as a diabetic!
Obesity in itself is fatal as well; recent studies point out that people who
suffer from teenage obesity are more likely to die prematurely than others!

Don’t believe me? Actually many people used to think that the concept of
‘obesity related death’ is a joke or rumor, that is, until in 1989 the National
Institute for Health decided to sponsor a study designed to monitor the health
of about one million women over an extended period of time.

During the study, the lifestyle habits of these women, including diet, level of
activity, etc. were monitored. The study continued over a period of 12 years,
and most of the women who volunteered to participate in it were nurses employed
in state-run hospitals located in various parts in USA, including New York,
Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, etc. All of them were aged between 22-44 years.

The participants were asked to answer a series of questions pertaining to their
health, including the lifestyle habits they followed during their adolescence,
their entire medical history, etc. Midway during the study, as many as 710
participants died.

The researchers conducting the study found out that the reason behind their
premature deaths was that almost all of them were obese in their teens. It is
then that these researchers concluded that people, in this case women, who
suffer from teenage obesity are three times more likely to die prematurely than
those who are of normal weight.

As you can see, teenage obesity influences the future of your kid in a big way!
If you don’t want your children to die prematurely like those nurses, it is time
that you start monitoring the lifestyle habits of your teenage daughters and
sons. There are too many fad diets and diet pills out there, all claiming to
help you with weight loss but I would rather recommend healthy eating and an
active lifestyle for your teenage kids. Keep in mind that if you wish your kids
to live a long life, preventing teenage obesity is the only way to ensure that!

Natural Ways To Counteract The Effects Of Diabetes

Natural Ways To Counteract The Effects Of Diabetes

Wednesday, March 5th, 2008

Diabetes is a condition where the body does not regulate the
amounts of sugar correctly. If left untreated, it can ravage
the body and cause drastic side effects possibly causing
death. But there are ways to circumvent the effects of
diabetes and take one’s life back from the gallows.

Coffee
More for Morning Pick-Me-Ups: Coffee has recently been shown
to help defend against the effects of diabetes. The study
has shown that that type 2 diabetes can be reduced by as
much as 60%. Even if you have drank coffee in the past but
quit, the effects of the previous drinking habits will still
be long-lasting.

Interestingly, women who drank 10 cups of coffee a day
got a 79% reduction in the effect of diabetes. It is hard to
imagine sitting through 10 cups of coffee (although some
would probably beg to differ), but the effects are too
desirable to ignore.

Whole Grain Foods May Have a Part in Diabetes Reduction:
Type 2 diabetes has also been suggested to be reduced by
whole grain foods, researchers report. The studies are much
weaker than that of the coffee study- so there is no
guarantee on how much reduction will take place- if any at
all.

While whole grain foods may not be the diabetes killer,
they are still full of nourishment that serves other
purposes. And in the war on diabetes, every little bit
helps- regardless of what studies or researched have or have
yet to prove.

Magnesium Makes a Show in the Diabetes Reduction Game:
Meat, milk, nuts, and beans are all sources of magnesium-
but what kind of effect does this magnesium have on the
body? From what researchers have found, quite a bit; as much
as a 30% reduction in diabetes has been observed from
controlled tests.

It has even been proven that a diet that lacks magnesium
may increase the onslaught of diabetes. The recommended
daily intake of magnesium is slated around 300-400mg-
depending on the body type and gender. This daily intake can
be easily obtained via magnesium-rich foods- especially nuts
and beans.

Fiber Provides Defense for Diabetes: The high fiber diet
that your doctor has been preaching may not be so bad after
all, says researchers. While the exact numbers were not
released, it has been concluded that men who consumed
high-fiber diets had increased resistance to diabetes.

Foods that are high in fiber include certain types of
cereal, certain fruits such as pears, grain such as
spaghetti, black beans, lentil beans, and vegetables such as
peas. Making sure that a diet is rich in these foods will
help protect against the risk of diabetes- although further
research is being conducted to see just how much protection
fiber provides.

Final
Thoughts on Preventing and Maintaining Diabetes
: The
above dietary tips should be taken to heart. Try to
incorporate fiber, coffee, whole grains, and magnesium rich
foods into your diet. Try to put an emphasis on the proven
items- such as coffee and magnesium.

Along with the nutritional tips, be sure to follow a
healthy exercise routine to help minimize the risk of
diabetes. Paired with a good nutrition, exercise will help
keep diabetes at bay. In many cases controlling both of
these aspects has allowed diabetes patients to live
perfectly normal lives- although some cases are worse than
others.

Does Your Favorite Diet Plan Fulfill These 3 Criteria?

Does Your Favorite Diet Plan Fulfill These 3 Criteria?

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Everyday I see so many people asking questions in forums
about the latest fad
diets, even though they have already joined a weight loss
programs. If you are
also one who runs after fad diets, I would like to ask you
one simple question
to: why is it that you searching for another diet plan?
Aren’t you satisfied
with your current weight loss program, and if not, why not?
Why is your existing
diet plan not enough for you? In this article I will explore
some of the
possible reasons why you may not be able to lose weight.

1. Are you unable to avoid eating your favorite foods? You
know, I have been
there and done that. Once under a diet, I resolved never to
touch the so-called
‘forbidden foods’, but I broke my resolution on more than
one occasion. My
question is – do you want to find out the best diet plan
simply because you are
not able to get rid of the forbidden foods and therefore
unable to lose the
amount of weight you would like to? Do you really think that
there is any diet
plan on earth that would help you lose weight without
restricting your food
intake in any way? Before you shake your head, let me tell
you that more or
less, almost all diet programs come with their own
restrictions. The best diet
plan is one which places the least amount of restrictions on
your food habits.
In my opinion, if you ever find such a diet plan, you better
stick to it
throught your life because it is worth its weight in gold!

Remember that in order to lose weight all you need to do
is eat healthy foods.
Placing unnecessary food restrictions on yourself will do
you no good. Depriving
yourself of your favorite foods will force you to start
binge eating, and over
time, you will gain far more weight than what you started
with!

2. Do you hate counting calories all the time, throughout
your life? You know, I
too hate those diet programs that require me to know the
calorie content of
every single food item that I eat, as well as count calories
of every piece of
food that I have for my dinner. It is sickening! If you have
ever counted
calories, you will agree wt me that it is not only tedious
and boring, but also
extremely frustrating. Calorie counting at once makes the
otherwise simple
weight loss plan look a lot more complicated, which in turn
discourages you from
achieving your weight loss goals.
Consider for instance, what will you do before visiting your
favorite fast food
restaurant? Would you plan your meal months or weeks in
advance, or try to
figure out whether the foods that you are going to be served
with contain more
calorie than you are allowed to consume?

3. Does your weight loss plan burn your wallet? The ideal
weight loss plan
should burn your fat, but there are some others that do
something else- they
burn your pocket instead! You should never join those
expensive weight loss
programs that require you to buy special foods from them in
order to lose
weight. As a matter of fact, you don’t need to eat any
’special’ food’ in order
to lose weight. You can get all the healthy foods you need
from your local
grocery store!

Ss you can see, the best weight loss program should be
one that would impose
little or no food restrictions, wouldn’t require you to
count calories all
through your life, and would be quite affordable at the same
time! Have you
found such a diet plan yet?
